Manga benefits from the “Atlantic Bubble”

TORONTO — Manga Hotels is the largest private owner of hotels in Atlantic Canada, with 11 of its 18 properties located in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and New Brunswick. Needless to say, they were heartened by the July 4 announcement if the Atlantic bubble, which permits travel among the four Atlantic provinces.

Aimbridge Canadian hotel management update

TORONTO — Aimbridge Hospitality has been growing dramatically over the last few years. When Aimbridge and Interstate merged last year, they became the largest global third party management company, Andrew Jordan, the company's chief marketing officer told CLN in an interview. The deal made sense because Aimbridge had a presence in Canada and the Caribbean, while InterState's strength was in Europe and into Russia. Earlier, Aimbridge had acquired the right to manage ONE Lodging's properties; and in Canada, they acquired the rights to manage the Bellstar portfolio last fall.

Hotel Equities plans to double hotels in Canada

ATLANTA, Ga. — Hotel Equities currently has 26 or 27 properties in Canada, and still plans to double that in the next two years, Joe Reardon, chief development officer told CLN.
