Hotel Capital Connection returns to Toronto

After a four-year hiatus, Hotel Capital Connection, now shortened to HC² will be coming back to Toronto. This time it will be held at the Ritz-Carlton hotel on Oct. 30, 2019.

Recognizing the need for a “made-in-Canada” event and responding to popular demand, Big Picture Conferences is pleased to present Hotel Capital Connection (HC²), an exclusive  networking and educational event that matches Canadian hotel owners with top legal and financial advisors.

Designed to provide C-Level (CEO, COO, CFO) Hospitality executives the resources, knowledge and vision to help make better investment decisions. HC² explores current issues impacting the hotel investment community and future opportunities through in-depth, interactive workshops that are lead by Canada’s most trusted legal, tax, and financial firms.

This event is planned with designated time and space throughout the afternoon to meet with significant deal makers and conduct business.

“The format will be similar to last time, with a few changes,” said Stephanie Gadbois, managing director of Big Picture Conferences. “It will be a half-day seminar, appealing to hotel owners, lenders, lawyers and tax experts, but we will be mixing up the panels with constituents under each umbrella.”

The event will begin at noon with a networking business lunch, followed by opening remarks and a general session lasting from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. After that, sessions will include a legal panel discussion, finance panel discussion, closing remarks and a closing reception starting at 5:00 p.m.

Topics will include private equity firms, select service development, mixed use development, receivership, how to finance new construction and how to appraise it, and how to structure the deal.

“There will also be some top line information on timely new developments in the Toronto area,” Gadbois told CLN.
