Spirit Awards to celebrate hotel ambassadors

TORONTO — The Greater Toronto Hotel Association will be hosting the fifth annual Spirit Awards, celebrating exceptional hotel ambassadors in the GTA, on Friday, April 22 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

TORONTO — The Greater Toronto Hotel Association will be hosting the fifth annual Spirit Awards, celebrating exceptional hotel ambassadors in the GTA, on Friday, April 22 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Constitution Hall, North Building.

The celebration starts with a reception and registration at 11 a.m., followed by opening remarks and a luncheon at 11:45. Kevin Frankish, co-host of BT-BreakfastTelevision, will be the master of ceremonies.

As the industry association for the Greater Toronto Area representing 170 hotels in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Richmond Hill, Markham and Vaughan, the GTHA works together with members to recognize the front line and “heart of the house” staff for their “Spirit” and service to guests. 

Awards will be presented for accounting, administration, banquet, bell person, concierge, culinary, engineering, food and beverage, guest services, housekeeping, laundry, reservations, security, steward, switchboard operator, valet driver/doorperson/shuttle driver and Lifetime Achievement.
