KELOWNA, B.C. — Big White Ski Resort announced in late June that for the first time in its history, the property has opened to the public in summer.
Summer hiking, sightseeing and chair lift rides opened at Big White Ski Resort on July 4 and run through Sept. 7. Outdoor enthusiasts can take in the landscape occupying the resort grounds, from scenic Bullet chair lift rides to guided nature hikes on the mountain. Guests can treat themselves to a post-hike massage in the comfort of their chalet though Mountain Massage Services, available by appointment.
Avid cyclists can challenge their skills and push themselves in the L'Alpe de Grande Blanc, a challenging ride from Kelowna to Big White Ski Resort. Taking place on July 25, the race is a fully supported cycling adventure embodying the rituals of the Tour de France.
Located in the Monashee Mountain range, in the Okanagan Valley, the resort is 45 minutes from Kelowna International Airport.
