QUEBEC CITY — Hotel PUR LP announced in late June that Global Edge Investments (GEI) has bought TRYP by Wyndham Quebec Hotel PUR, effective May 1, and that Crescent Hotels & Resorts LLC, a Fairfax, Va.-based operator of hotels and resorts, will manage the property.
“The Quebec City market has significant potential and we are excited about acquiring this asset. As it stands, the TRYP by Wyndham Quebec enjoys a tremendous reputation. We believe our physical improvements to the food and beverage and lobby areas will position this hotel to be a leader in the market,” said Anthony Cohen, partner and executive vice-president of Crescent Hotels & Resorts and president and CEO of GEI, in a release.
Located in downtown Quebec City and within walking distance of the Old City, Hotel PUR features 242 guestrooms offering floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city and European-style showers or Japanese bathtubs. Also onsite are 12,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, a 24/7 business centre, event catering and secretarial services. Guests enjoy complimentary WiFi connection in all rooms and common areas, free access to the indoor heated pool, gym and sauna, and Italian coffee served in the lobby daily.
Providing foodservice is Table restaurant that serves a globally influenced tapas-style menu and, later this summer, will offer an outdoor patio.
TRYP by Wyndham Quebec Hotel PUR is located one block from the Charest Est / de la Couronne bus stop providing access to nearby attractions including Artillery Park, Observatoire de la Capitale, Esplanade Park, the Parliament Building and Battlefields Park.
