Shares of hotel
operator Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. debuted on the New York Stock Exchange
on Dec. 12. The company returned to the public markets about six years after
Blackstone Group LP took it private in 2007.
shares opened at $21.30 after Blackstone Group LP raised more than $2.3 billion
in the initial public offering (IPO). The shares were priced at $20 on Dec. 11.
which operates in 90 countries, has more than 4,000 hotels and 670,000 rooms
under its umbrella.
Worldwide’s brand portfolio includes Conrad, Waldorf Astoria, DoubleTree by
Hilton, Embassy Suites, Hampton, Homewood Suites and Hilton Hotels and Resorts.
