TORONTO — This year’s Canadian Hotel VIP Leaders’ Dinner was held at
Canada’s newest Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, on the Toronto Airport strip. The event, which coincides with the annual
Hotel Association of Canada Conference, had top level attendees from coast to
coast, and all segments of leadership.
included such brands as Marriott, Wyndham, Hyatt, Days Inn, Group Germain, Travelodge, Hilton, Carlson Rezidor, Best Western, Coast, Motel 6, and
Sandman. Also, strongly represented at
the dinner were ownership, development and management companies including
Atlific, Superior, Sunray, Morguard, InnVest, MasterBUILT, One Hospitality,
Easton's Group, Holloway, Aqualini, and Crescita. Several provincial associations were also in attendance.
Jason Cheskes, president of Above the Line Solutions, a company
which is involved in many aspects of procurement, has been organizing and
hosting the event for several years.
“It is truly a great honour
and pleasure to be able to hold this event bringing so many great people from
the industry together,” he said. “Ruth’s Chris did a fantastic job and I look forward to
returning the dinner there next year based on such positive feedback.”
By all accounts, the event was a tremendous success both as a
unique social gathering of the industry’s elite as well as a wonderful meal. This year’s
sponsors included Serta, LG Electronics, Ecolab, Eden Textiles, RHB
Enterprises, National Payments, Group Lockhart and Foodbuy.
