TORONTO — InterContinental Hotels Group Canada (IHG) has partnered with the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA) to support the organization in a number of ways, it was announced in early July.

IHG Canada’s objective is to raise the profile of their Western Canada hotels while simultaneously supporting the association. IHG strives for its brands to be recognized as the hotel accommodations of choice for CPRA members and the rodeo community.

Throughout 2016, IHG Canada will be supporting all participating CPRA events, including key stops in Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie, Leduc, Airdrie and Bonnyville, Alta., and Dawson Creek, B.C.

“At IHG Canada, we think this sponsorship with the CPRA is a very strong and mutually beneficial one,” said Yola Marshall, IHG’s director, commercial delivery, Canada, in a release. “We are enthusiastic about partnering with the association, and look forward to being able to grow together. We are big fans of the rodeo and are very proud to be the official hotel group of the CPRA.”

With 72 hotels in Western Canada, IHG has hotels close to all of the rodeo stops.
