MONTREAL — Kaba announced on Sept. 1 that its merger with DORMA has been finalized, according to a press release issued Oct. 20. The new company, dorma+kaba Group, with pro forma annual sales of more than $2.1 billion, is one of the top three firms in global access control.
Kaba provides the Saflok and ILCO brands of electronic locks. DORMA’s automatic doors and Crane revolving doors are in wide use throughout the hospitality industry, as are its architectural hardware and crash bar door systems. DORMA’s Modernfold movable wall partitions and glass wall systems are used in hotel and flexible conference centres.
“One of the keys to success in the expanding worldwide marketplace is a strong global brand with international services to match. The new dorma+kaba Group clearly provides that,” said Stephen Pollack, vice-president, marketing, Kaba ADS America, in a release.
Customers and partners of Kaba and DORMA will profit from a complementary product portfolio, geographical presence, value chain and global service organization. The new company will provide a leading product and service offering from a single source, the dorma+kaba Group.
