Saint-Sulpice Hotel Montreal aims to indulge guests’ imaginations with the addition
of an art installation to its property.

Displayed in the elevator areas on each of the hotel’s five
floors—transformed into mini-gallery spaces via carefully chosen lighting and
layout—the permanent exhibit, titled Body and Soul, features paintings the
hotel purchased from Quebec designer Jean-Claude Poitras.

Pieces include works realized in acrylic on paper handmade from
recycled cotton; acrylic on canvas; ink and pastel on handmade, Japanese-style
Washi paper; and ceramic-pigment ink on kiln-fired glass plates.

Complementing the art is text from Poitras, music from
composer Francois Dompierre and a portable digital guide themed to the exhibit.
