PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Wyndham Hotel Group announced on May 1 that its new Wyndham Rewards loyalty program won Up and Coming Program of the Year honours at the 2015 Freddie Awards, held April 30 at the Delta Flight Museum in Atlanta, Ga.
The Up and Coming Program of the Year winner is selected based on actual Program of the Year voting. The winning program features the best average score among those ranked by 2 to 10 per cent of the voters in that category. This year, there was an Up and Coming award in both airline and hotel categories within each of the three voting regions around the globe – Americas, Asia/Middle East, Europe/Africa.
Launching globally on May 11, Wyndham Rewards features the simple Go Free award, which allows members to earn a free night at one of more than 7,500 Wyndham Rewards hotels across the globe for a flat redemption rate of 15,000 points, with no blackout dates.
In addition, for every qualified stay, members earn 10 points for every dollar spent or a minimum of 1,000 points per stay, whichever is more.
Now in its 27th year, the annual Freddie Awards recognize the world's top airline and hotel loyalty programs and are determined by votes from more than 3.2 million frequent fliers and hotel loyalty program members, recognizing five best-of categories for both airlines and hotels in each of three global regions.
