WHITECOURT, Alta. / WELLAND, Ont. — On March 22, Travelodge Canada opened two properties in one day: Travelodge Whitecourt Conference Centre & Suites in Alberta, and Travelodge Welland in Ontario.

Travelodge Whitecourt Conference Centre & Suites is owned by Dan & Franni Welter and features spacious guest rooms with modern amenities that travellers love. The hotel also offers flexible meeting space for business events, weddings and conferences of up to 300 attendees. Guests looking to grab a late-night snack will enjoy the hotel’s on-site lounge, The OT’s Pub, and nightlife at Vapor Night Club, also on-site.

Travelodge Welland is owned by Sunny Judge of The Walia Group and offers comfortable guest rooms and amenities including free breakfast, free WiFi and ample free parking. The Travelodge Welland is located in the heart of Ontario’s Niagara region, offering close proximity to Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, local wineries and the area’s popular attractions.

Dual branded Ottawa Hilton property to launch this fall

OTTAWA — Opening
fall of 2018 in the core of Ottawa’s prominent Sparks Street promenade, the
dual branded Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites by Hilton, Ottawa Downtown will
be the first Hilton property in downtown Ottawa. 

The project features the
redevelopment of two existing towers that will be transformed into a 17-storey
Hilton Homewood Suites for extended-stay accommodations and a 10-storey Hilton
Garden Inn for short-stay accommodations. The property will feature a total of 346
guestrooms and suites, a restaurant, bar, pool, fitness centre, meeting rooms
and business centre.

Radisson opens new hotel in Fredericton, N.B.

FREDERICTON, N.B. — Radisson announced the opening of Radisson Kingswood Hotel & Suites, Fredericton, NB located at 41 Kingswood Park, late last month. The newly constructed hotel features modern interiors, stylish furnishings and spacious guest rooms and suites. Guests can enjoy the spectacular views of Kingswood Golf Course, which was named one of Canada’s best courses by Golf Digest. The hotel also adds ease to those traveling to the area as it is only 15 minutes from the Fredericton International Airport.

The hotel offers 121 guest rooms and suites. Pet friendly rooms are available. Guests have access to a fitness center, business center, free Wi-Fi, babysitting service and complimentary parking. Along with being located on the Kingswood Golf Course, the hotel also has an onsite entertainment center that includes bowling, laser tag and arcade games with plans to open an indoor waterpark in summer 2018. 

The hotel can also serve as a venue for meetings and special events. The 1,200-square-foot meeting space can accommodate up to 200 people, with two attached outdoor patios that can fit an additional 200 guests. Meeting equipment, onsite catering and an event coordinator are available.

Kingswood Bistro Brew Lounge is the hotel’s restaurant featuring a menu of bistro style Atlantic cuisine. The restaurant offers a variety of beers on tap along with its own cider called the BBL Pomegranate Cider. Each item on the menu includes a beer pairing option to accentuate the flavors of the dish.
