MONTREAL — Residence Inn by Marriott Montreal Downtown re-opened July 16 following a multimillion-dollar renovation that has given the property a substantial makeover.
Every space at the 24-floor, 210-suite hotel has been transformed from floor to ceiling with new carpet, floor tiles, wall vinyl, furnishings, appliances, technology, artwork and decor.
The lobby, for example, now features a fireplace, while the Hearth Room, featuring new floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto Peel Street, serves a free hot breakfast buffet.
Redesigned studios and suites feature chocolate brown furnishings and neutral wall colors, and cabinetry and new stainless-steel appliances adorning fully equipped kitchens. Technology features include flat-panel TVs and complimentary high-speed Internet access.
Bathrooms in all guest suites also received a facelift that added quartz countertops on dark wood cabinets, space-saving glass shelves for personal items, glass-enclosed showers and new ceramic tile.
Rounding out the amenities are a 538-square-foot meeting room, and a 24-hour fitness centre, complete with treadmills, elliptical and bike outfitted with integrated TVs.
