HAVANA — A full slate of education sessions and speakers is on tap for the inaugural SAHIC Cuba conference, taking place May 15-16 at Melia Cohiba Hotel, in Havana.
The first event of this kind hosted in the country, SAHIC Cuba will provide attendees with new opportunities to expand their network while learning where the industry is heading in the emerging island nation.
Via networking with key Cuban hotel and tourism officials, attendees from around the globe will build relationships to facilitate possibilities for business on the island.
Leading off Day 1 (May 15) is keynote speaker David Scowsill, president and CEO of the World Travel & Tourism Council, who will outline global and regional trends and give the outlook for the hotel and tourism industry.
Other education session topics include Understanding the Potential of the Cruise Market; Hotel Design & Refurbish Forum; Economically Speaking: A Global Economy Glimpse & The Economy Outlook for Cuba and the Caribbean; and Resilient Design: Is Resilience the New Sustainable Design?
