TORONTO — Select Hotel Investment Partnership announced on April 21 that it had acquired the Best Western Plus Inn & Suites, in Orangeville, Ont.

“This was a great opportunity to acquire a very attractive property, located in a vibrant market, with excellent prospects,” said Eric Spindler, managing director of Select, in a release. “It fits well with our strategy of targeting upscale focused-service properties which offer strong potential.”

The hotel has 84 guest suites — all rooms are junior suites, with separate seating areas and kitchenettes — 7,250 square feet of banquet and meeting space, and day spa treatment facilities. Amenities include a spacious complimentary breakfast area, fitness facilities, indoor pool and hot tub.

The hotel will be operated by Select’s partner, Concord Hospitality, and the new general manager is Carolyn Tann-Jacobs, previously of the Best Western Plus in Leamington, Ont.

Opened in 2007, the property is located at the main highway intersection on entry to Orangeville driving north through the Greater Toronto area. Also part of the site is a Boston Pizza restaurant leased to the operator.
