Le Royal Champêtre B&B Gîte wins B&B of the Year 2018
BIRMINGHAM, U.K. – Travel & Hospitality magazine recently announced that Le Royal Champêtre B&B Gîte has been selected as the best Bed & Breakfast of the Year in Canada by the Travel & Hospitality Awards as part of their annual Americas program.
Competing against a wide number of properties across Canada Le Royal Champêtre B&B Gîte, owned and operated by Brigitte Bélanger, impressed the judges with its excellent customer service, fresh and locally produced breakfast, outstanding location and positive online ratings.
“Rarely do we find such frequent positive feedback citing a single person, it was blatantly clear to myself and the other judges that Ms. Bélanger plays a crucial role at the property and deserves a round of applause for this win”, said Azim Aftab, director of sales and marketing for Travel & Hospitality.
The win came as a big surprise to Bélanger, who was in the middle of serving breakfast when the call came through from England. “Call me back,” she said. “When they called back, I explained what I do each day, taking care of the whole place, doing gardening, advertising and everything,” Bélanger told CLN. “They said, 'Stop, I'm exhausted just listening to you!'”
But hard work comes naturally to Bélanger, who has held jobs all over the world, but always in tourism.
“To know that clients who come to Le Royal Champêtre are pleased and have a great stay is the best reward anyone could ask. I am fortunate to do what I do and love meeting people from around the world, making sure they are treated well while promoting our region. That has always been my goal,” she added.
Le Royal Champêtre Bed & Breakfast is located just a few minutes away from the Montmorency Falls and Quebec City. It's a newly built property with the charm of an older house, located in the Boischatel tourist area in the rural, peaceful Côte-de-Beaupré region. A countryside stopover for travellers between Quebec City and Charlevoix, it is also the perfect place to stay as guests discover Quebec and Mont-Sainte-Anne. The B & B offers a spectacular view on the St-Lawrence River, Orleans Island and Quebec.
