Days Inn Estevan a Travellers' Choice Winner

ESTEVAN,
Sask — Days Inn by Wyndham Estevan recently announced it has been recognized
as a winner in the Bargain category of the 2019 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice awards for Hotels, ranking 17 out of 25. Travellers’ Choice
award winners were determined based on the millions of reviews and opinions
collected in a single year from TripAdvisor travellers worldwide. In the 17th
year of the awards, TripAdvisor has recognized 7,812 properties in 94 countries
and eight regions worldwide.

This year,
the awards celebrate hotel winners in nine categories, including Top Hotels
Overall, Luxury, Bargain, Small, Best Service, B&Bs and Inns, Romance,
Family and All-Inclusive. The hallmarks of Travellers’ Choice hotels winners
are remarkable service, value and quality.

The Hazelton Hotel hosts Fashion Week

TORONTO — The Hazelton Hotel, a leading Toronto luxury boutique hotel, held a series of events in partnership with Toronto Fashion Week x RE\SET.
Located in Toronto's prestigious Yorkville neighbourhood, The Hazelton
Hotel opened its doors to new and existing guests with exclusive
parties, dinners and panel discussions in a luxurious setting February 5 –
7, 2019.

Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) for his career-long contributions to the

EDMONTON — The
Alberta Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) has revealed this year’s list of 100-plus Housekeeping Award recipients. For over 30 years, with the support of Travel
Alberta and the Government of Alberta, the AHLA has recognized Alberta
properties that demonstrate excellence in delivering the highest quality of
accommodation to visitors in the province.

“This
award is a celebration of the incredible housekeeping work happening in properties
of all sizes across Alberta. I want to personally congratulate every hard
working housekeeping team on providing guests with the highest standards in
cleanliness and comfort,” said Dave
Kaiser, AHLA president & CEO.

The
Housekeeping Award is unique to Alberta’s lodging industry and is the only
award of its kind in Canada. Coveted by hotels and heart-of-house staff, it
continues to raise the standard of housekeeping in properties of all sizes
throughout the province. The staff of these acclaimed properties will receive
their award at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel on April 15, 2019 at this year’s annual
convention, where the AHLA will also be celebrating its Centennial year. 

The Rosseau celebrates 10 years

MUSKOKA LAKES, Ont. — JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa celebrated 10
years in Muskoka on Dec. 22, 2018, marking the special occasion with
a host of activities and a Gala Dinner which was open to the public. In honour
of their tenth anniversary the hotel created an exclusive itinerary of
events.

Guests enjoyed a Fire & Ice experience,
featuring an Ice Bar on the Lakeview Lawn Terrace with scenic views of Lake
Rosseau. They had crafted cocktails, featuring Muskoka Brewery’s
new gin. Guests watched their Muskoka Legendary Oddity Gin martini slide down
the ice luge, into the glass. In addition to the ice bar, there was a
giant-sized Muskoka ice chair that fit up to four people for the perfect
photo opp. Several fire pits were lit all day long for guests to roast
marshmallows, s’mores and sip on complimentary hot chocolate. The fire and ice
experience culminated with a duo fire hula hooping performance to close out the
celebration.
