HAMILTON, Ont. — Vrancor Group has bought two Toronto-area hotels, the 144-room Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Oakville @ Bronte and 105-room Staybridge Suites Oakville-Burlington, it was announced July 14.
The company finalized the acquisition of the two hotels that were originally built by Vrancor in 1999 and 2008, respectively.
“As we continue to pursue our smart-growth strategy, we are especially proud to welcome two award-winning hotels to Vrancor Group that are widely recognized as top performers within Oakville,” said Darko Vranich, president & CEO, in a release.
Located at Bronte Road and Queen Elizabeth Way, Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Oakville @ Bronte is adjacent to the 400 series highways and the 17,300-square-foot Oakville Conference Centre.
Onsite facilities include 144 guestrooms, 40 of which are suites with separate living and sleeping areas; 20 Jacuzzi rooms; 64-seat Marquis Bistro Restaurant & Grill; 24-seat Marquis Lounge; fitness facility with indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and sauna; 24-hour business centre; 600 surface parking stalls and free WiFi. In addition, the hotel offers 7,200 square feet of flexible meeting spaces.
Staybridge Suites Oakville-Burlington, immediately adjacent to both Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Oakville @ Bronte and Oakville Conference Centre, features 105 studio, one- and two-bedroom extended-stay suites. All suites include a fully equipped kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, cooking equipment, cutlery and china, dining table, 32-inch flat-screen TV, stereo, work desk with electrical outlets, two-line telephone with voicemail and complimentary wireless high-speed Internet. The hotel also offers two meeting rooms, each with a maximum capacity of 30 people.
