Best Western SureStay comes to Salmon Arm

Westin Edmonton sold for $60 million
EDMONTON — Cushman & Wakefield Global Hospitality acted as the exclusive advisor to the ownership entity led by Starwood Capital Group in the successful sale of the Westin Edmonton. This hotel commands a strong track record of performance in its exceptional downtown location.
Toronto’s Curtis Gallagher, with Ian Newman of Cushman & Wakefield Edmonton, completed the sale of Starwood Capital Group’s (Starwood) Westin Edmonton hotel for $60 million. This transaction marks the fifth hotel in Starwood’s portfolio the Canadian hotel investment team has sold on their behalf, for a combined total of $1 billion.
The Westin Edmonton was built in 1974, with an expansion in 1980. In Alberta’s capital city, the hotel is located in the heart of downtown and is just steps away from the North Saskatchewan River Valley Park, Arts District and surrounding restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The hotel is the largest in Edmonton, with 416 luxury guest rooms, and is a preferred venue for conference and social occasions with more than 26,000 square feet of event space, two food and beverage outlets and many other full-service amenities.
