Chip Rogers named AAHOA interim president

ATLANTA, GA—On Dec. 1, Chip Rogers took over as interim president of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), replacing Fred Schwartz.

ATLANTA, GA—On Dec. 1, Chip Rogers took over as interim president of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), replacing Fred Schwartz, who, on Dec. 23, officially stepped down after holding the president’s post for 18 years.

Rogers, who previously served as the association's vice-president of government affairs and public relations, has been with AAHOA for nearly five years.

Prior to AAHOA, Rogers served in the Georgia General Assembly, being elected six times and serving two terms as Senate Majority Leader.

In the private sector, Rogers has been a long-time small business owner with interests in broadcasting, marketing and real estate.
