ATLANTA — Bob Ekman, vice-president, franchise sales and development, North America, IHG, is leaving to become CEO of MORE American Hospitality, effective July 1. Ekman’s last day with IHG will be June 12.
Once he officially joins the Nashville, Tenn.-based company, Ekman will become an operating member of Deadwood Mountain Grand, a Holiday Inn Resort. In his new role, Ekman will work with MORE American Hospitality’s partner and operational arm, American Hospitality Management.
Ekman will also head up development of The Lodge at Fontanel, a Holiday Inn Resort in Nashville, and will also be working on the overall operations and strategic growth of Fontanel Properties. He will also take on the role of strategic growth of MORE American Hospitality.
A veteran of over 30 years in the hospitality industry, Ekman’s work experience includes hotel franchising, hotel, resort and restaurant operations, and hotel and resort sales and marketing.
