TORONTO — The Omni King Edward, in downtown Toronto, announced in early November the appointment of David Han as director of food and beverage.

Han’s career began in Philadelphia at the Sofitel luxury boutique brand, after which he returned home to Toronto to take on managerial positions at the Park Hyatt Toronto. He then continued his journey with Hyatt to Hong Kong, where he was part of the team that opened the 567-room Hyatt Regency.

In 2009, Han returned to Canada to join Casino Rama, in Orillia, Ont., where he held a series of progressive roles during a six-year stint, first as manager of the St. Germain’s Steakhouse, then as assistant director of food and beverage, before taking on a rooms-division position in 2014, where he supervised hotel operations.
