ORHMA Windsor and CCFCC celebrate first Hospitality Awards

WINDSOR, Ont. — On Monday, Oct. 23, the Ontario Restaurant Hotel & Motel Association’s (ORHMA) Windsor Chapter, in partnership with the CCFCC Culinary Guild of Windsor, held its first “Hospitality Awards of Excellence Gala” to celebrate Windsor’s hospitality industry and to recognize the local industry’s shining stars. 

This sold-out black tie event was held at the Essex Golf & Country Club, where chef John Kukucka and his team prepared a five-course feast. According to Tony Elenis, president & CEO of ORHMA, “ORHMA is very proud to recognize and congratulate these establishments for their role in the local hospitality community and their commitment to service and quality.”

Accommodations Facility of the Year (Windsor) 2017: Caesars Windsor

Accommodations Facility of the Year (Essex/Kent) 2017: Quality Inn Leamington 

Supplier of the Year  2017: Colonial Coffee 

In addition to the various people’s choice awards, ORHMA was pleased to announce the introduction of the Best Bar None (BBN) program in Windsor and congratulate Ariius Night Club & Ultralounge on being the first accredited Best Bar None venue in the Windsor Region.  BBN is an industry-led, international accreditation and awards program recognizing liquor sales licensees who maintain the highest operating standards in the sale and service of alcohol. BBN was lunched in the UK and was offered for the first time in Toronto in 2013 and in Ottawa in 2014.
